Museo de las Americas was founded in 1992 and bought its current 12,000 sq. ft. building at 861 Santa Fe Drive in 1994, in the heart of Denver's Santa Fe Arts District. Since 1992 its permanent collection has received more than 3,000 objects, including textiles, ceramics, masks, jewelry, basketry, wooden utilitarian objects, paintings and pre-Columbian figures.
The museum displays textiles, paintings, and sculptures that reflect the artistic traditions of various Latin American countries. Visitors can directly observe the craftsmanship and regional distinctions of these art forms throughout the galleries.
