The Uptown Theater is an Art Deco-style building with a main hall that seats 863 people, positioned so that no viewer sits more than 100 feet from the stage. The interior features an original Greco-Roman mural discovered during restoration and carefully preserved as part of the current design.

The building opened in 1937 with a screening of 'Ever Since Eve' and was designed by Lawrence Borg. Over the decades, it has undergone multiple renovations while maintaining its original character and purpose as a performance venue.
