Goldfield Ghost Town, Ghost town attraction in Youngberg, United States

Goldfield Ghost Town is a restored settlement from Arizona's gold mining era in Youngberg. The site includes original buildings such as saloons, a boarding house, a general store, a blacksmith shop, and a brewery that show how people lived and worked in this community.

The settlement was established in 1902 during the gold mining boom in the region and grew to around 1,500 residents at its peak. Decline began in the late 1920s when mining operations stopped, leaving the town abandoned.

The Goldfield Museum displays mining equipment, period photographs, and artifacts that document the daily life of early Arizona settlers.

Visitors can explore the buildings during daylight hours and use various facilities like shops and eateries that operate throughout the day. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes, as the grounds consist mostly of walking paths.

A narrow gauge railroad loop circles the property and offers visitors insights into the history of mining operations and regional development. This train ride lets visitors experience the site and surrounding landscape from a different vantage point.
