Ken Pridgeon Stadium is a high school sports facility in Houston with a modern artificial turf field and seating for approximately 12,000 spectators. The facility includes football and soccer fields plus training areas attached to the main stadium for various sports programs.
The facility opened in 1977 and received its current name in 1994 to honor Oran Kenneth Pridgeon's service as Athletic Director. Throughout the 2010s, the stadium underwent major upgrades that substantially renewed its playing fields and spectator areas.
The stadium serves as a gathering place for students and families from multiple high schools in the Cypress-Fairbanks school district. On game days, you see not just athletes but also many community members coming together to cheer on their teams.
The stadium is located along Bobcat Road and features modernized ticket booths, restrooms, and concession areas for visitors. The facilities are designed so spectators can navigate easily and have good sightlines to the playing fields.
The stadium received a substantial upgrade as part of a major improvement program and gained an aquatic facility with seating for about 950 people. This additional sports complex shows how the school district invested in comprehensive athletic programs.
