Weiser Air Park, Former private airfield in Harris County, United States
Weiser Air Park was a private airfield on about 41 hectares of land in Harris County with two runways of different lengths and surfaces. The grounds housed multiple hangars, a flight school, maintenance shops, and a flying club.
Brothers Cecil and Robert Weiser took over an existing airfield in 1951 and developed it with new hangars. The site became an active general aviation hub in the region over the following decades.
The airpark served as a gathering place for private pilots and aviation enthusiasts in the region. People came here to store their aircraft, take flying lessons, or connect with fellow aviators.
The site is located in northwest Houston and was readily accessible for small aircraft. Visitors should note that the airfield was later redeveloped for industrial use and is no longer in operation.
In its final year of operation, the airfield recorded tens of thousands of aircraft movements, showing intensive daily activity. This high volume demonstrates how important such a local airport was to the general aviation community.
