Peninsula Museum of Art, Art museum in San Bruno, California, US
The Peninsula Museum of Art spans 18,000 square feet, featuring five gallery spaces, a library, a classroom, a store, and thirty working artist studios.
Established in 2003 at Twin Pines Park Manor House in Belmont, the museum received its nonprofit status in 2004 before moving to Burlingame in 2013.
The museum exhibits works from Bay Area artists, including pieces by ecofeminist artist Jo Hanson and sculptor Ruth Waters, who founded the institution.
The Peninsula Museum of Art relocated to The Shops at Tanforan in San Bruno in 2021 following the closure of its Burlingame location.
A Charles Homer pledge of one million dollars in 2005 created the Building Fund, enabling the museum's subsequent expansion and development.
