Artichoke Joe's Casino is a card club in San Bruno, California, owned by Dennis Sammut and managed in part by Ron Cox, a former Foster City councilman. It began in 1916 as Joe's Pool Parlor, a single room opened by Joseph Sammut in Al LoReaux's former plumbing shop, and was renamed Artichoke Joe's in 1921.

The establishment started as a pool hall in 1916 and received its current name in 1921 under Joseph Sammut's ownership. It has since grown into a long-established gaming destination in the area.

The name comes from Joseph Sammut's answer when asked how he would cover a large losing bet: "In artichoke leaves." The Sammut family still owns the club, which began in 1916 as Joe's Pool Parlor in Al LoReaux's former plumbing shop and took the Artichoke Joe's name in 1921.

Artichoke Joe's occupies a spot in San Bruno, a few miles south of San Francisco International Airport along the Peninsula. The 1990s BART extension to SFO ran through the area and drew the owner into a costly fight over the project. Visitors arriving by car should plan for Peninsula traffic near the airport corridor.

Joseph Sammut opened a pool parlor and phone exchange in Al LoReaux's former plumbing shop in 1916. He took bets on horse races and accepted any wager, however large; asked how he would pay off a big loss, he answered "In artichoke leaves", which gave the club its name in 1921.
