The stadium serves as the home field for Coppin State Eagles baseball team and previously hosted the Baltimore Dodgers of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League.
The stadium, located at 7551 Teague Road, contains 1,500 seats and maintains facilities for both players and spectators during baseball games and tournaments.
M. Joseph Cannon, for whom the stadium is named, led the Maryland City Little League as its first president and organized numerous baseball tournaments.
