Barberville Falls, Waterfall in Poestenkill, United States.
The Barberville Falls cascades down 28 meters through a deep gorge, with water flowing from the Poesten Kill river across a 16-meter-wide rock face.
The Nature Conservancy maintained the falls from 1967 until 2019, when ownership transferred to the Rensselaer Plateau Alliance with funding for infrastructure improvements.
The falls serve as a centerpiece of a 140-acre nature preserve, where visitors observe native wildlife and plant species in a hemlock-northern hardwood forest.
Visitors access the falls through a marked trailhead at 23 Blue Factory Road, following a steep 0.1-mile path that descends 30 meters to viewing areas.
Near the waterfall base stand the stone remnants of an unfinished mill, while three different trails offer varying perspectives of the natural formation.
