NV, 26-floor residential tower in Pearl District, Portland, United States

NV is a 26-story residential tower in Portland's Pearl District that combines glass, concrete, and metal across its height. The building stands out in the skyline and includes apartments, retail spaces at ground level, and parking areas within its structure.

Plans for a 26-story apartment tower called The Overton were announced in November 2012, and the city approved the design in April 2014. Demolition of a warehouse on the site began in July 2014, construction started that August under developer Unico Properties, and the building opened in September 2016 as NV.

The name NV is pronounced "envy", a pun residents and locals use for the tower. Its ground floors hold retail space, and a large terrace sits on the roof of that retail podium, where the residential tower occupies the rest of the platform. The building opened in September 2016.

The building sits in a well-connected neighborhood with bus stops and bike lanes nearby for easy movement around the city. Walking from here takes you quickly to restaurants, cafes, and shops throughout the Pearl District.

The tower is rotated 45 degrees on its site, a design choice by ZGF Architects intended to give residents wider views. Its contractor, Andersen Construction, was simultaneously building two other residential towers next door.
