Trump Plaza is a 36-story residential building on the Upper East Side with a distinctive Y-shaped design. The structure contains 145 residential units ranging from roughly 1,200 to 1,900 square feet (111 to 176 square meters), along with ground-floor retail spaces.
Construction began in 1982 following a long-term ground lease agreement and was completed in 1984. The project represented a significant development milestone for the Upper East Side during that era.
The building attracted notable residents including television personality Dick Clark, tennis champion Martina Navratilova, and businessman John Y. Brown Jr.
