Hang Kasturi Mausoleum, Historic mausoleum in Jonker Walk, Melaka, Malaysia
The mausoleum features a two-tiered structure with eight short pillars, each decorated with triangular motifs behind a decorative gateway with Jawi script inscriptions.
The tomb, built over 550 years ago, contains the remains of Hang Kasturi, one of the five legendary warriors who served Sultan Mansor Shah in the 15th century.
This burial site represents the deep connection between Malaysian martial traditions and royal service, as Hang Kasturi served as a bodyguard to the Sultan of Malacca.
The mausoleum, located near the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple and Tian De Gong Temple, remains accessible to visitors throughout the day without admission fees.
According to the Malay Annals, Hang Kasturi met his end at the hands of Hang Tuah after becoming entangled in palace intrigues involving the Sultan's concubines.
