Xiang Lin Si Temple, Buddhist temple in Jalan Tokong, Malacca City, Malaysia.
Xiang Lin Si Temple is a two-story Buddhist facility with three arched doorways on each level. The main hall contains statues of Mi-lo Fwo and the Eighteen Luohan arranged throughout the building's spaces.
The building began in 1958 as a wooden structure and underwent complete reconstruction in 1985. This transformation resulted in a modern brick building named after a Chinese monk.
The temple houses a complete collection of the Pali Canon and Buddhist scriptures that visitors can observe during their visit. This collection makes it a place where believers and interested visitors can explore Buddhist teachings.
The temple sits across from Cheng Hoon Teng Temple and allows visitors to enter without removing shoes. Photography is permitted throughout the building as long as visitors maintain silence.
From the second floor, visitors can see the neighboring buildings along Harmony Street, where Buddhist, Muslim, and Hindu places of worship stand side by side. This neighborhood shows a rare example of religious diversity in one location.
