Hang Tuah Stadium contains football grounds and athletic facilities, serving as a central venue for regional sporting competitions throughout Malacca state.
The stadium, originally named Stadium Kubu, opened in 1954 under the leadership of Commissioner G.E.C. Wisdom before its renaming in 2001.
The stadium name recognizes the Malay warrior Hang Tuah, connecting modern sports activities with traditional Malaysian historical figures.
Located in central Malacca, the stadium offers 1,000 seats and maintains training facilities for local sports teams and athletic organizations.
The facility transformed in 2012 through renovations that incorporated green spaces into the urban landscape of Malacca City center.
