Puteri Beach

Puteri Beach is a coastal area along the western shore of Peninsular Malaysia that stretches for several kilometers with water views toward the Malacca Strait. The shoreline is backed by a parallel road lined with hotels, dining options, and commercial services.

The location was originally called Kundor Beach until the Malacca State Government redesigned it as a resort destination in the 1990s. This transformation marked a shift from its previous identity to a modern recreational area.

The beach serves as a meeting place where traditional fishing practices continue alongside tourism, allowing visitors to observe the daily rhythm of local seafaring communities. The interplay between local livelihoods and recreational use shapes how people interact with the shoreline.

The beach is easily accessed via the parallel road where accommodations, food vendors, and regular night markets operate. Visitors will find various facilities distributed along the shoreline for dining and leisure activities.

A protective rock wall was built in 2021 to defend the shoreline against erosion from tidal forces and changing water conditions. This visible structure represents ongoing efforts to maintain this coastal area as environmental pressures increase.
