Wisma Sanyan

Wisma Sanyan is a 28-story commercial tower that stands in central Sibu, rising prominently above the surrounding cityscape. The structure contains retail spaces across multiple levels, office floors, and accommodates several government departments.

The building was completed in the early 2000s and represented a turning point for Sibu's urban development from horizontal sprawl to vertical growth. It became an early example of high-rise construction in the region and changed how the city expanded.

The building reflects the multicultural character of Sibu through its design that combines Chinese and Malay influences. Signage and naming conventions throughout the structure display this mix of cultures in everyday ways.
