Penang Floating Mosque

The Penang Floating Mosque is a modern prayer hall built on stilts along the coast of Tanjung Bungah, directly overlooking the Strait of Malacca. The facility includes a minaret and separate prayer spaces for men and women, with parking available nearby.

This mosque opened in 2005 as a replacement for an older religious building that had stood on the site since the 1960s. The new construction was made possible through significant investment in the project.
