Jumeirah Beach

Jumeirah Beach is a white sand beach in the Jumeirah district along the coast of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. The shore runs alongside the Gulf and is lined with palm trees that provide shade, while the water slopes gently into the sea.

The coastal stretch was developed in the 1990s as part of Dubai's tourism expansion, after the area had served as a fishing village for centuries. The transformation brought infrastructure and public facilities that made access easier for locals and travelers.

The name Jumeirah comes from Arabic and means "beautiful," reflecting a long tradition of appreciation for this stretch of coast. Families today often use the shore in the afternoon and evening, with many visitors preferring the promenade for walks and social gatherings.

Access is available through several entry points along Jumeirah Road, where parking and lifeguards are provided. Those arriving early in the morning or at sunset usually find fewer visitors and more comfortable temperatures.

A 16-kilometer cycling path runs parallel to the coast and connects Jumeirah Street with King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud Street. The route allows continuous tours along the sea without having to leave the main roads.
