Alserkal Avenue

Alserkal Avenue is a converted industrial zone in Al Quoz neighborhood with art galleries, design studios, exhibition spaces, and creative workplaces housed in former warehouses. The spaces offer room for rotating art exhibitions, performances, and the daily work of artists and designers.

The area emerged as a creative hub when the first contemporary art gallery opened in the former warehouses in 2008. This opening triggered a major transformation of the neighborhood and attracted more artists and cultural venues.

The avenue hosts contemporary art galleries where exhibitions and performances by artists from the region and worldwide happen regularly. These spaces draw art lovers together and create a meeting point for creative people from different backgrounds.

The area is easy to walk through and contains many galleries and studios with varying opening hours. Visitors should allow enough time to explore the different spaces comfortably and encounter local artists in their studios.

The Concrete building opened in 2017 with movable walls and multiple room configurations as a flexible exhibition space. The adaptive architecture allows the spaces to be quickly adjusted for different art forms and events.
