Ubora Towers, Office tower in Business Bay, United Arab Emirates
Ubora Towers is a pair of commercial high-rise buildings in the Business Bay district of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The taller of the two towers reaches 263 meters across 58 floors, and both share a common base that links the two structures into one complex.
Construction started in 2006 under the direction of Bando Engineering Construction and was completed in 2011. The project took shape during a period when Business Bay was being developed as one of Dubai's main new commercial districts.
Prayer rooms and shared spaces inside the building reflect how local customs shape everyday working life in Dubai. Anyone walking through the building will notice how the layout is arranged around the needs of people who spend long hours there.
The complex sits in Business Bay, a district with good connections to Dubai's public transport network. Coming during the day, when offices are open, gives a better sense of how the place actually functions.
A glass restaurant pavilion at the base of the towers includes water features and terraced gardens arranged across several levels. This corner of the complex feels more like an outdoor garden than a typical office building entrance.
