Construction of the Holy Resurrection Church began in 1389 under Bishop Nimfoni, who collected funds during the rule of the Muzaka family.
The church contains frescoes from 1390 and serves as a gathering place for Albanian Orthodox pilgrims during the fortieth day after death ceremonies.
Located at the foot of Mount Morava near Korçë, the church stands 7.5 meters tall and underwent structural repairs in 2015.
The church holds multiple names across different languages, including Kisha e Shën Ristozit in Albanian and Света Богородица Животворящ източник in Bulgarian.
