Victory Park, Public park in Kanaker-Zeytun district, Armenia.
Victory Park is a public green space situated on elevated ground overlooking downtown Yerevan and housing several attractions. Walking paths, a military museum, an artificial lake, cafes, and amusement rides are spread throughout the grounds.
The site began in 1930 as Arabkir City Park and was renamed Victory Park in 1950 to honor the Soviet triumph in World War II. The space took on its current character through the addition of the Mother Armenia statue and the landscaping of the lake area in subsequent decades.
The Mother Armenia statue dominates the space and serves as a symbol that visitors recognize and respect. People gather here to pause and reflect on what the monument represents.
The park is easy to navigate with multiple routes depending on visitor interest and energy level. Paths are accessible, and there are plenty of spots to rest, eat, and relax before or after walking around.
The artificial lake was created between the 1950s and 1960s and was modeled after the famous Lake Sevan. The design shows how this area was shaped for recreation and leisure and remains a popular spot for visitors wanting to spend time by the water.
