Davtashen Bridge is a metal and reinforced concrete structure spanning the Hrazdan River and connecting two districts. The crossing features a five-span design and serves as a major traffic artery in the city.
The technical project was approved by the USSR Council of Ministers on 2 September 1977, and construction began in 1978 to link Davtashen, cut off by the Hrazdan gorge, with the city. Work was frozen soon after and resumed only after the Soviet Union's collapse. The bridge opened in 2000 and construction was fully completed in 2001.
The bridge links two neighborhoods and shapes the character of this area with its distinctive presence. Residents use this crossing daily as a key route between districts.
