President's Residence, Yerevan, Official residence in Baghramyan Avenue, Yerevan, Armenia

The President's Residence at 26/1 Baghramyan Avenue in Yerevan was designed by Mark Grigorian and completed in 1951. Its outer walls are faced with yellow tuff, and the building was enlarged in 1987 with two three-story wings, bringing the total area to 4,470 square metres. A four-story administrative block of 3,150 square metres, faced with pale yellowish felsite and travertine, was added behind it in 2009–2010.

Mark Grigorian designed the building as the Council of Ministers of the Armenian SSR, completed in 1951; it later housed the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Armenian SSR. In 1987 the Hayardproekt institute added two three-storey wings, raising the total area to 4,470 sq m. It became the president's residence in 1991, served as the prime minister's from April to November 2018, and returned to the presidency in 2019. It was listed as a republican-level monument in 2004.

Paintings by Ivan Aivazovsky, Panos Terlemezyan, Martiros Saryan, Gevorg Bashinjaghian and Hakob Hovnatanyan, lent by the National Gallery of Armenia, hang in the halls. The Green Chamber receives foreign ministers and ambassadors, the Circular Chamber accredits ambassadors, and the Gilded Chamber hosts foreign heads of state.

The residence welcomes visitors on weekends and during certain weekday hours, with access managed by the Honor Guard. It is advisable to check current visiting times before planning your visit, as schedules may vary seasonally or for administrative reasons.

The paintings inside come from the National Gallery of Armenia: canvases by Ivan Aivazovsky, Panos Terlemezyan, Martiros Saryan, Gevorg Bashinjaghian and Hakob Hovnatanyan hang in the residence's halls. The 2009–2010 rear wing by architect Narek Sargsyan is clad in pale yellowish felsite and travertine, unlike the yellow tuff of the older block.
