The Geological Museum Karapetyan is a science museum in Yerevan that houses collections of rocks, minerals, and fossils from around the world. The exhibits are organized into six sections, each exploring different aspects of earth sciences.

A professor named Hovhannes Karapetyan founded this museum in 1937 using his personal collection of geological specimens. The institution adopted his name after his death and grew into the research center it is today.

Visitors learn about Armenia's underground world through displays of minerals and fossils found within its borders. The collection helps people understand what lies beneath the landscape they see every day.

The museum reopened on 16 September 2012 in the Institute of Geological Sciences building at Marshal Baghramyan Avenue 24A, having previously occupied 10 Abovyan Street. Tours are offered in Armenian, Russian, English, Spanish and French, and a virtual tour is available. Schoolteachers in Armenia hold geography and chemistry lessons here, and the museum also runs off-site excursions.

The mineral hall opened on 16 September 2012 and is named after Ara Tsolakovich Dildilyan, whose family gave the specimens to the museum. The pieces come from mines worldwide and are arranged by chemical composition: quartz group, silicates, garnets and native elements. The quartz group alone holds 23 samples, among them amethyst, smoky quartz and citrine.
