Martiros Saryan monument, Marble memorial in central Yerevan, Armenia

The Martiros Saryan monument is a six-metre marble sculpture in Saryan Park, central Yerevan, between Mashtots Avenue, Marshal Baghramyan Avenue and Zoryan Street. It was installed in 1986, designed by architect Artur Tarkhanyan and sculpted by Levon Tokmajyan. Saryan's signature is carved in the lower left corner of the pedestal.

The monument was installed in 1986 in the park named after Martiros Saryan, between Mashtots Avenue, Marshal Baghramyan Avenue and Zoryan Street. Architect Artur Tarkhanyan and sculptor Levon Tokmajyan designed it, and it is listed among the immovable monuments of history and culture of Yerevan's Kentron district.

The monument honors an artist whose paintings shaped modern Armenian visual culture and remain influential in the region today. His works capture the landscapes and colors of Armenia in ways that connect to how people see their homeland.

The monument is located in the city center and easy to reach when walking in this area of town. Its location directly beside the museum makes it convenient to visit both sites one after the other.

The monument is carved from marble, not cast in bronze, and stands six metres tall. In the lower left corner of the pedestal, Saryan's own signature is engraved. A permanent exhibition and sale of paintings is held in the park beside the monument.
