Elite Plaza, High-tech business center in Yerevan, Armenia.
Elite Plaza is a high-tech office and retail tower in Yerevan, Armenia, rising about 85 m (280 ft) with a glass and steel facade. The building brings together office floors and commercial spaces within a single structure.
Construction began in 2007 and was completed in 2013 with backing from international financial partners. The project marked a new phase of modern commercial architecture in the Armenian capital.
The structure, designed by Armenian architect Hovhannes Mutafyan, represents the transformation of Yerevan's architectural identity through modern design principles and materials.
The building has separate entrances for the office floors and the retail areas, which makes it easy to head directly to the right section. Underground parking is available, and elevators connect all floors.
The tower is equipped with a seismic protection system built into its core structure, a necessity given Armenia's earthquake-prone geography. This engineering choice is invisible from the outside but shapes the entire way the building was designed.
