The Paronyan Musical Comedy Theatre presents performances on a stage near Republic Square, featuring a mix of operettas and musical productions.
Founded in 1941, the theatre opened with V. Valentinov's operetta Fire Priestess and received its current name in 1962 after Armenian playwright Hakob Paronyan.
The theatre employs numerous Armenian performers, including Mariam Ghazaryan and Boris Pepanyan, who present both traditional and modern musical interpretations.
The theatre operates Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with free admission and a contact number of +374-10-580101.
The theater received the Best Presentation Award at the Artavazd-2009 festival under the direction of Yervand Ghazanchyan, who leads productions since 1993.
