Grave of Garegin Nzhdeh

The granite gravestone of Garegin Nzhdeh stands within the grounds of Spitakavor Monastery, marking the final resting place of an Armenian leader.

Established in 1987, the grave contains the remains of Garegin Nzhdeh, who fought for Armenian independence and died in Vladimir Central Prison in 1955.

The site serves as a memorial destination where Armenians gather each June 17th to honor the memory of Garegin Nzhdeh through organized pilgrimages.

Visitors can reach the grave by taking a minibus from Yeghegnadzor to Spitakavor Monastery, with transportation services operating throughout the day.

In 2005, sections of Nzhdeh's remains were transferred from this location to Mount Khustup, creating two separate memorial sites for the Armenian figure.
