Seventh Day Adventist Church of Tonga

The Seventh Day Adventist Church of Tonga is located on Alimoni Street in Nukuʻalofa and serves as the administrative center for the Tonga Mission. The building coordinates religious activities across sixteen congregations spread throughout the island nation.

The Tonga Mission started in 1895 when missionaries arrived from the United States and received formal organization in 1921. A major restructuring took place in 2005 to modernize operations across the region.

The church manages sixteen congregations across Tonga, offering services in the Tongan language and maintaining strong connections with local educational institutions.

The church is located in central Nukuʻalofa and is accessible on foot from many nearby areas. Visitors should note that services occur on Sundays due to the island's position east of the International Date Line.

The Tonga Mission maintains a membership of 3,967 individuals within a population of 99,000, operating educational facilities including Beulah Adventist College.
