Multiple wooden mansions line the street, including the Martens-Hoffmann, Kaheni, and Gaete-Garcia houses, reflecting the German architectural influence in Valdivia.
The street runs from Miraflores Street in the south to Yerbas Buenas Street in the north, with various buildings now housing university facilities.
Los Canelos Tower, constructed in 1774, stands at the intersection with Yerbas Buenas Street as one of the few structures that survived the 1909 fire.
