Zúñiga, Cultural heritage village in San Vicente de Tagua Tagua, Chile.
The buildings in Zúñiga display continuous facades made of adobe walls and clay tile roofs extending with large eaves.
The village received its name from priest Antonio de Zúñiga, who initiated the construction of a chapel in the area during 1765.
Four Historical Monuments enrich the village: the Parish Church, Parish House, Cáceres House, and Galafe House, each representing regional architecture.
Located 15 kilometers north of San Vicente de Tagua Tagua, Zúñiga maintains its architectural identity through preserved traditional buildings.
In 2006, the residents obtained regional funding to renovate the building facades, demonstrating community dedication to architectural preservation.
