Parque Safari Rancagua is an animal facility with several zones you can explore by vehicle or on foot to watch the animals. The facility features different areas with carnivores, hoofed animals, and other species from various climate zones.
Parque Safari began as a personal initiative of Iván Sánchez Lobos, a Rancagua businessman and animal lover, on the road to Doñihue. It became Chile's first safari park, organised into four safari zones by the biological traits of the animals: Great Felines, Herbivores, Jurassic and, from 2025, Expedition. On 6 August 2021 a Bengal tiger killed guide Catalina Fernanda Torres Ibarra, 20, during cleaning work; the park's operations manager and its owner were later convicted of negligent homicide.
The park displays animals from different habitats, inviting visitors to watch their natural behaviors. The paths lead through areas where you can observe predators and herbivores in environments similar to their home regions.
You can drive through the park in your own car or use the offered transportation. It is best to arrive early in the day when animals are more active and crowds are smaller.
The park's Safari Lodge lets guests stay overnight inside the grounds, sleeping alongside the animals in a setting modelled on an African safari. It is the first safari park in Chile, split into four routes: Great Felines, Herbivores, Jurassic and, since 2025, Expedition Safari.
