Parque Alejo Barrios, Urban park in Playa Ancha, Valparaíso, Chile.
Located between the University of Playa Ancha and the Naval School, this urban park spans across 44,897 square meters of green space.
The park grounds were originally owned by Guillermo González de Hontaneda, who transferred them to the state following Minister Diego Portales' request for military training purposes.
Twenty-two soccer clubs from the Alejo Barrios Football Association, established in 1932, regularly utilize the four dirt soccer fields within the park.
The park serves as a central gathering point for local festivities, offering temporary food stalls and entertainment venues during national holidays.
Until 1973, the park's elliptical field was the primary location for military parades in Valparaíso, marking its significance in local ceremonial traditions.
