Museo naval Valparaíso, Maritime museum in Valparaíso, Chile.
The National Maritime Museum exhibits over 3,000 artifacts, including ship models, weapons, flags, medals, and uniforms across 17 exhibition rooms on two floors.
Founded on April 30, 1915, the museum occupies a building that previously served as the Naval School and received designation as a Historical Monument of Chile.
The museum collection includes 30,000 volumes of documentation, books, and periodicals chronicling Chile's maritime traditions and naval accomplishments through the centuries.
Located at Paseo 21 de Mayo in Cerro Artillería, the museum welcomes visitors Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM with different admission rates.
The crypt contains relics from the War of the Pacific, including a bugle recovered from the Esmeralda ship that remained underwater for many years.
