Palacio Cousiño, Neoclassical palace in Dieciocho Street, Santiago, Chile.
The palace features marble floors, wooden beams, and walls decorated with silk and velvet imported directly from European manufacturers.
French architect Paul Lathoud designed this residence for Isidora Goyenechea, widow of mining businessman Luis Cousiño, completing construction in 1878.
The building displays the wealth of nineteenth-century Chilean high society through its imported furniture, art collections, and detailed architectural elements.
The palace museum offers guided tours in English and Spanish from Tuesday to Saturday, with advance reservations required and payment accepted only by card.
This residence became the first building in Chile with electrical installations and contained one of the earliest elevators in the country.
