The museum opened in 1944 under President Juan Antonio Ríos before relocating to different locations until settling in Cerrillos in 1992.
The collections include military equipment, aviation-related artworks, textiles, and historical monuments that represent Chile's aeronautical achievements.
Visitors can explore the museum free of charge from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 16:30, except for January 1st and December 25th.
The main exhibition space features a hangar-style design that houses various aircraft models from different periods of Chilean aviation history.
