Quispicanchi Province

Quispicanchi is a province in Cusco Region located in southern Peru, comprising twelve districts with Urcos as its administrative center. The territory covers mountainous terrain interspersed with lakes, valleys, and highland plateaus.

The province was inhabited in pre-Columbian times, evidenced by the Pikillaqta archaeological site containing remnants of ancient Andean urban settlements. These early structures demonstrate that organized societies existed in the region long before Spanish contact.
