The Museo del Banco Central de Reserva del Perú displays numerous pre-Columbian artifacts, colonial art pieces, and contemporary Peruvian artworks across multiple exhibition halls.
Founded in 1982, the museum occupies a 1922 building that originally served as the headquarters of Peru's Central Reserve Bank for several decades.
The museum exhibits collections from ancient civilizations including Chavín, Moche, Wari, Chancay, and Inca, alongside paintings from Peruvian independence to present times.
Located at the intersection of Lampa and Ucayali streets, the museum welcomes visitors Monday through Friday from 10:00 to 16:30 and weekends from 10:00 to 13:00.
The building features a column-free main hall supported by steel ceiling trusses, complemented by marble floors and bronze railings from its banking period.
