The equestrian monument to Francisco Pizarro is a bronze sculpture in Parque de La Muralla in Lima that shows the conquistador mounted on horseback wearing armor and holding a raised sword. The figure stands on a base in the central area of the park, near the Government Palace and easily visible to all who walk through.
The monument was unveiled in 1935 to mark four hundred years since Lima was founded. It originally stood at Lima Cathedral before being moved to its current location in the park in 2003.
