The Hipódromo de San Isidro is a racecourse owned by the Argentine Jockey Club on 148 hectares in San Isidro, 22 km north of Buenos Aires. Its turf oval runs 2,783 m with a 1,000 m straight chute; the inner dirt track, added in 1994, is 2,590 m around and 31 m wide, enough for 24 horses. Grandstands hold 100,000 spectators, 32,000 m² of it covered.

In 1926 the Jockey Club bought about 316 hectares at the Aguirre farm, 22 km north of Buenos Aires, to build a second course alongside Palermo. The turf oval of 2,783 metres opened on 8 December 1935, when Uruguayan jockey Irineo Leguisamo won the first race. The course closed on 25 May 1976 and reopened on 8 December 1979 with an electronic totalisator of 597 machines and floodlighting; a dirt track followed in 1994.

Each December the Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini, Argentina's most important race, is run here on the same day as the Gran Premio Internacional Joaquín S. de Anchorena and the Gran Premio Félix de Álzaga Unzué. The Gran Premio Jockey Club in October is a leg of the Triple Corona. The course hosted the Gran Premio Latinoamericano in 1982, 1992, 1998, 2005, 2011 and 2020, and the Carlos Pellegrini Awards are presented here annually.

The racecourse lies 22 km north of Buenos Aires in San Isidro, with the grandstands offering 32,000 square metres of covered seating. Races are held on Wednesdays, every other Friday and Saturday, and some Sundays. The 1,000-metre straight chute and the diagonal for 1,400-metre races are visible from the main turf course.

The 2022 Lollapalooza Argentina festival drew a record 300,000 people to the grounds, far above the 102,600 who watched Branding win the Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini in 1952. The property also holds a chemical laboratory that processes post-race samples from racetracks across the country, plus an arboretum and a horse sales floor seating 3,600.
