Parroquia Nuestra Señora de la Rábida

This church is a modern brick structure with red walls located at the corner of Avenida Belgrano and Luis Sáenz Peña. The simple design reflects contemporary architecture from the time it was built.

The parish was established in 1988 to mark 500 years since the beginning of Christian evangelization in the Americas. It takes its name from the monastery where Columbus prayed before his voyage.

The interior arranges wooden and straw chairs in a semi-circle around the altar, encouraging visitors to gather close for worship. This simple seating reflects how the community comes together in this space.

The church is open during the day with regular services at different times on weekdays and weekends. Visitors can explore the grounds and the cypress-lined courtyard, which offers a quiet place to spend time.

The building was once a Catholic school run by Irish brothers for many years before becoming a spiritual center. The cypress-lined courtyard now holds a cinerarium, showing how the space has been repurposed over time.
