Café de los Angelitos, Historic café in Balvanera, Argentina
The building features dark wooden panels, stained glass windows, marble floors, and a collection of 350 photographs documenting its past throughout the decades.
Founded in 1890 by Italian immigrant Batista Fazio, the establishment gained recognition when Carlos Gardel signed his first record contract there in 1917.
The café presents nightly tango performances with professional dancers and musicians, continuing a tradition that started in the early 20th century.
Located at Rivadavia Avenue 2100, the café opens daily from 8:30 AM to midnight, offering dining services and tango shows at 8:30 PM except Mondays.
Following its closure in 1993, local residents organized weekly tango dances on the sidewalk until its complete reconstruction and reopening in 2007.
