Description
Teatro Argentino is a modern building with brutalist architecture that houses a large concert hall with around 2,000 seats and a smaller hall with about 300 seats. The complex occupies an entire city block in the center of town.
History
The original theater built on this site in 1890 was designed in Renaissance style but was destroyed by fire in 1977. The current building was rebuilt from that loss and completed in 1999.

The venue hosts a steady calendar of operas, ballets, and orchestral performances that draw audiences from across the region. It serves as a gathering place where local and visiting artists showcase their work.
