The Dardo Rocha Museum occupies a late 19th-century residence designed by engineer Pedro Benoit in downtown La Plata, featuring period furnishings and architectural elements.
The building, constructed in 1886 in just 40 days, served as a secondary residence for Dardo Rocha, the founder of La Plata, before becoming a museum in 1952.
The museum exhibits include the Centenary Urn from 1882, original city planning documents, medals, and personal belongings that narrate La Plata's development.
Located at 50 Street between 13th and 14th, the museum welcomes visitors every day from 10:00 to 13:00 and 15:00 to 18:00 with free admission.
The collection contains the marriage bed where Dardo Rocha passed away and a French secretaire used for storing both jewelry and Christmas presents.
