Icono Tower, High-rise residential building in Asunción, Paraguay.
Icono Tower is a high-rise building in Asunción with 37 floors reaching about 142 meters tall, designed with two side blocks on its structure. These side blocks create large windows throughout the apartments, allowing natural light to fill the interior spaces.
Construction began in 2006 under architect Carlos A. Jiménez and finished in 2011, introducing a new residential approach to the city. This completion marked a shift in how apartments were designed and sold in Asunción.
The tower brought the loft concept to Paraguay, where residents receive empty spaces and customize them based on personal preferences.
The building sits at the intersection of Juan de Salazar and Boquerón streets, providing easy access to main avenues like Mariscal López, Perú, España, and General Artigas. Its central location makes exploring the neighborhood and surrounding areas straightforward.
The building features anti-seismic technology that allows it to withstand wind speeds of 200 kilometers per hour without residents feeling any movement. This engineering feature makes it notable for its safety and structural stability among city buildings.
