Maksoud Plaza, Architectural structure on São Carlos do Pinhal Street, São Paulo, Brazil
The 416-room Maksoud Plaza building features suspended gardens, natural lighting, and multiple event spaces across 5,000 square meters of area.
Built in 1979 on the site of the first Benedictine monastery for nuns in the Americas, the Maksoud Plaza redefined luxury hospitality in São Paulo.
The 150 Night Club within Maksoud Plaza presented performances by Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Tom Jobim, and numerous international jazz musicians.
The hotel structure included a helipad, parking for 150 vehicles, restaurants, and multiple conference rooms for business and social gatherings.
The final suite, Dreams 2117, displayed a multisensory design by artist Felipe Morozini before the hotel closed permanently in December 2021.
