Maksoud Plaza, Architectural structure on São Carlos do Pinhal Street, São Paulo, Brazil
Maksoud Plaza is a large building that housed hotel rooms, event spaces, and restaurants throughout its structure in São Paulo. The building featured suspended gardens, natural light flowing through multiple levels, and various conference rooms designed for gatherings.
The building was constructed in 1979 on land that previously held a Benedictine convent, one of the earliest religious communities established in the Americas. This transformation reflected the changing uses of the site over centuries.
The 150 Night Club in this building hosted performances by musicians from around the world, drawing crowds who came to experience live jazz and contemporary music. The venue served as a gathering place where artists and audiences connected over shared musical interests.
The building was equipped with various facilities including a helipad, abundant parking, and multiple restaurants for visitors and guests. Those attending events or staying overnight had access to comprehensive services on-site.
A special suite called Dreams 2117 featured a multisensory design created by an artist, showcasing innovative design concepts. This room stood out as a memorable space before the building closed permanently in 2021.
