Edifício da FIESP, Commercial building in Jardim Paulista District, Brazil
The Edifício da FIESP is a modernist office tower with 18 floors rising nearly 93 meters and featuring a dark facade with pyramidal design elements. The building occupies a full city block and houses multiple departments and work areas throughout its interior.
The building was designed by Rino Levi's office and opened in 1979 as the federation headquarters for industrial interests. A major redesign by Paulo Mendes da Rocha in the 1990s brought structural improvements to the building's circulation.
This industrial complex incorporates spaces dedicated to professional training through SENAI-SP and houses the Roberto Simonsen Institute for educational initiatives.
Access to the building comes through several ground-level entrances that are easy to locate along the street. The lobby and public areas are clearly marked and make it simple to find your way around.
During renovation, laser technology was used to precisely remove specific ceiling sections and improve street access. This careful technique allowed the interior structure to be preserved while making foot traffic flow more naturally through the spaces.
