Aguja del Diablo, Mountain summit in Serra dos Órgãos National Park, Brazil

The Aguja del Diablo rises to 2050 meters above sea level, forming a distinct needle-shaped peak within the Serra do Mar mountain range.

The first documented climb of this Brazilian mountain peak occurred in the early 1900s, establishing new routes for future mountaineering expeditions.

Local mountaineers refer to this formation as Agulha do Diabo in Portuguese, reflecting the bilingual heritage of mountain naming in South America.

Climbers access the summit through the Camino de las Orquídeas trail, passing Pedra do Sino in Teresópolis before reaching the base point.

The rock formation presents vertical walls on multiple faces, creating natural climbing routes that extend from the dense Atlantic Forest below.
