House of the Ottoni, Colonial museum in Serro, Brazil.
The Regional Museum occupies a two-story colonial building with white walls, wooden details, and traditional Portuguese architectural elements from the 18th century.
The museum structure, established in 1991, belonged to descendants of bandeirante Fernao Dias Paes Leme, who explored Brazilian territories in the colonial period.
The collection presents Catholic art pieces, including processional images that participated in religious ceremonies and artifacts from the demolished Church of Nossa Senhora da Purificacao.
The museum opens Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00 and Sundays from 8:00 to 12:00 at Praca Cristiano Ottoni 72 in Serro.
The building maintains original features of Portuguese colonial architecture and contains historical artifacts representing the cultural exchange between Europeans and local communities.
